The circular tour leads from Elsfleth through the half-timbered village of Moorriem, past farm gardens, a country café and a half-timbered church. A detour to the Melkhus Fuchsberg or the Gellener Moor is well worthwhile.

The tour starts at Elsflether Kaje. Past the "Black Duke" monument - dedicated to the Prussian General Friedrich Wilhelm von Braunschweig - the route leads across the town hall square, past the Unterweser Maritime Museum and the Jade University of Applied Sciences.
Always following the dyke, you leave the "Waterkant" at the town sign. The route leads inland. Here you can enjoy a wide view over the fields and absolute peace and quiet. Experience active farming and the change from marsh to moorland.
In Neuenfelde, the community center invites you to take a short break between the small farm cottages and old half-timbered houses with beautiful front gardens. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the white-tailed eagle that has set up its eyrie in Neuenfelde.
From there the route heads across country towards Neuenbrok.
The route continues through Birkenheide to Fuchsberg with the Melkhus. From May to October, the countrywomen offer regional dairy dishes, drinks such as liev and leven and homemade cakes.
After a short break, the route continues through the Gellener Torfmöörte. The 120-hectare nature reserve consists of a raised bog and fen complex with fallow moor grassland, ponds, siltation and forest communities as well as peat bogs and moor heaths. The area is known for its rich occurrence of marsh calla as well as the numerous dragonfly species found here.
Back towards the main road and along the dyke, past the sports boat jetty on the Hunte and back to the starting point at the quay.
