Leine-Heide Cycle Path: through the heart of the heathland

    Eine abwechslungsreiche Landschaft ist der Wegbegleiter des Leine-Heide-Radweges. Von Schwarmstedt führt der Radweg zunächst durch das Alller-Leine-Tal und anschließend durch das Herz der Heide - dem Naturschutzgebiet Lüneburger Heide.

    The Leine-Heide Cycle Path
    winds its way through a variety of different landscapes. Starting in
    Schwarmstedt, the path takes cyclists along the Alller-Leine valley before
    reaching the heart of the heathland – the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve.

    – Ahlden/Hodenhagen – Walsrode – Bad Fallingbostel – Soltau – Neuenkirchen –
    Schneverdingen – Wilsede – Undeloh – Buchholz i.d. Nordheide – Ehestorf -
    Hamburg





    Total length: about 138 km

    The ‘comfort’ tour: 4 days,
    legs of 35 km



    The ‘athletic’ tour: 3 days,
    legs of 50 km

    The cycle path primarily
    comprises dedicated off-road paths, as well as agricultural paths and roads
    through farming areas.
