Leine-Heide Cycle Path: through the heart of the heathland

    A varied landscape accompanies you along the Leine Heath Cycle Route. From Schwarmstedt, the cycle path first leads through the Alller-Leine valley and then through the heart of the heath - the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve.

    The Leine-Heide Cycle Path
    winds its way through a variety of different landscapes. Starting in
    Schwarmstedt, the path takes cyclists along the Alller-Leine valley before
    reaching the heart of the heathland – the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve.

    Schwarmstedt
    – Ahlden/Hodenhagen – Walsrode – Bad Fallingbostel – Soltau – Neuenkirchen –
    Schneverdingen – Wilsede – Undeloh – Buchholz i.d. Nordheide – Ehestorf -
    Hamburg





    Total length: about 138 km





    Recommended legs:



    The ‘comfort’ tour: 4 days,
    legs of 35 km



    The ‘athletic’ tour: 3 days,
    legs of 50 km





    Route profile:



    The cycle path primarily
    comprises dedicated off-road paths, as well as agricultural paths and roads
    through farming areas.

    throughout with the Leine-Heide Cycle Path logo.

    Walsrode, Bad Fallingbostel, Soltau, Schneverdingen, Buchholz/Nordheide:
    Connection to the Heide line
    (Hanover-Soltau-Buchholz/Nordheide);

    Bremen-Munster-Uelzen.
