Rich in brine, adventure & variety:

The location alone shows the wide range that Soltau offers its guests: It is located in the Elbe-Weser triangle and therefore right between the major centers of Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen - on the other hand, it is also right in the heart of the magical Lüneburg Heath. A lively, colorful city life is complemented here by an incredible number of green oases. Soltau offers a large shopping paradise such as the Designer Outlet Soltau, but also an attractive and charming town center. Pure adventure in the Heide Park Resort can be found here as well as pure relaxation in the Soltau-Therme, a colorful event series as well as the soothing tranquillity of the heather landscape.

Soltau promises a great, varied vacation in the middle of one of the most beautiful and extraordinary landscapes in Germany!

Situated in the heart of Lüneburg Heath, Soltau is an officially recognized health resort. Here, active hikers and cyclists will find more than 875 miles of well sign-posted trails leading through romantic heathland, peaceful villages, and river valleys.

The Soltau-Therme is one of the most beautiful salt water swimming pools in Northern Germany and invites its visitors to play, do sports, have fun and relax. The Therme offers a big salt water bath with an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, an indoor pool area with a huge slide, solariums, anti-stress programmes and medical treatment in the “Vita Sol” section, as well as restaurants and a gym in the “Vitadrom” area. Fed from the pool’s own well, the salt water at a temperature of 30 to 36°C (86 to 97°F) will make your stay in the Soltau-Therme a memorable experience.

Another highlight in Soltau is the Heide-Park theme park. Located in a beautiful natural landscape, the Heide-Park offers action, fun and entertainment in several fantastic theme areas for visitors young and old. Look forward to more than 50 totally different attractions as well as acrobatics and animal shows.
