Dino-Tour Rehburg-Loccum

The circular cycle tour takes you from prehistoric dinosaurs to the early Middle Ages and the Romantic period. Find the traces of giant dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period 139 million years ago, which lived here in the region between the Weser and Steinhuder Meer around Münchehagen!

Explore the unique landscape of the Steinhuder Meer Nature Park and the Rehburg Mountains on your cycle tour. Discover interesting facts about the exciting history of this region at historical sites. It's best to take binoculars and a camera with you - because there's a lot to see!

On the approx. 30 km long "Dino Tour", you will encounter evidence and traces of the past at 8 adventure stations. There are life-size dinosaurs, huge bones, fossils you can touch, fossilized tracks and numerous photo opportunities.

Along the dinosaur tour, a total of 12 dinosaur puzzle boards have been installed at the eight adventure stations and at some intermediate stations, where exciting and imaginative puzzles can be solved. It's worth taking a look at the Dino Tour map, where "Rexi" shows where the riddles are located. And so that you don't have to think long about the solution, they are always on the back of each board!
You can start the tour from any point. An overview of the cycle tour is provided by the start boards at the marked parking areas and the cycling dinosaur shows you the way!
