Compared to the other 11 circular routes, this route goes quite high up by northern German standards. Besides a great view, there is plenty to see.
The idyllic old town of Otterndorf is a good starting point. From here, you head to the village of Neuhaus (Oste), where you can take a break at the historic harbor. Those who prefer more action can watch the athletes at the waterski and wakeboard facility or even try it themselves.
In Wingst awaits the announced incline of 26 m. Those who want to go even higher can take a small detour (1.3 km from the route) to the observation tower "Deutscher Olymp".
Back in Otterndorf, a stroll through the historic town center with its diverse museum offerings is recommended. Especially worth visiting is the Kranichhaus, which depicts the bourgeois way of life in the Hadeln region from around 1850.
