"De Moorpadd" shows the region around the largest raised bog of the Cuxland, the Ahlenmoor. In the historic old town of Otterndorf, the day can be pleasantly ended.

A recommended stop on this 49 km long route is the Moor Information Center (MoorIZ) in Wanna. The interactive exhibition offers insights into the past of the moor as well as the future of this special natural and cultural landscape.

From there, the route leads towards the Flögelner Lake. Numerous bird species nest at this idyllic moor lake, and anglers can enjoy their sport. On a small island in Flögelner Lake, there is a medieval water castle to be admired.

From March to December, there is the opportunity to make a detour to the Farmers' Market in Ihlienworth. On the second and fourth weekend of each month, the market invites visitors with handicrafts and regional delicacies.

Back in Otterndorf, a visit to the Museum of Object-Free Art is worthwhile. National and international artists exhibit their works here.
