This tour is sometimes uphill, sometimes downhill. But: every effort is rewarded with a wonderful view or insight! On the first section of the trail through a sparse pine forest, for example, it is easy to see how the heath is always making its way anew thanks to rejuvenating care measures in the undergrowth.

Tip: Not far from the edge of the trail are the foundation stones of an old sheep barn. As soon as you have left the forest, the path leads rapidly downhill, then you have to climb the next hilltop covered with heather and juniper, only to walk downhill again into a cool forest. In the shade of its trees, the tour leads to the next group of hills with an unobstructed view of undulating grassland, which reminds you that you are actually in the middle of the "flat" Lüneburg Heath.
