Water Tower Lüneburg
This "Wasserturm" (water tower) was shut down and placed under heritage protection in 1985. Its old water equipment was scrapped, leaving only the water tank preserved. From a 56-metre height on the tower's viewing terrace, visitors have an unparalleled view of Lüneburg and its surrounds. In clear conditions, you can see as far as 40 km into the distance. All year round there are events held on the Wasserturm's six levels, including readings and concerts for young and old, while visitors can see temporary exhibitions. Pupils from a neighbouring school also offer guided tours through the building.

- Der Wasserturm Lüneburg liegt 600m vom Bahnhof Lüneburg und 300m vom Innenstadtplatz Am Sande entfernt und ist somit bequem fußläufig und mit Bus und Bahn zu erreichen. Das kostenpflichtig Parkhaus Stadtmitte grenzt direkt an den Wasserturm und ist das ganze Jahr über rund um die Uhr geöffnet.
