SERENGETI-PARK: THIS IS HOW SAFARI WORKS TODAY!
In the heart of Lower Saxony, on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath, lies a unique safari park. The Serengeti Park, which is recognized as a zoological garden, provides a natural home for over 2000 free-roaming wild animals.
Special attention is paid to the breeding and conservation of many endangered species. In the numerous spacious and accessible landscaped areas, you can feel the coexistence of humans and animals and consciously experience a piece of nature. In the jungle safari, the petting safari and other walk-through enclosures, you can get up close to some of the animals. The Serengeti Park is an experience between a national park and a zoo.

On 220 hectares, you can get up close and personal with 2000 wild and exotic animals and experience lots of fun with over 100 attractions, rides and a colorful show program.
In the Serengeti Safari, the animal park, you go on a 10-kilometer journey through various landscaped areas in your car or in a Serengeti vehicle with a safari guide. Here you can observe lions, tigers, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, elephants and many more in a natural environment - almost like in the wild.

On foot, you can explore the 15-hectare jungle safari, which is home to around 200 monkeys from 20 species. Separated only by a moat, you can observe the lively hustle and bustle of the animals without any fences. In the walk-through enclosures, you can get up close and personal with some species, such as the catta or squirrel monkey. In two petting safaris, you can pamper alpacas, goats and fox sheep.
On various guided VIP safaris, you can catch exclusive glimpses behind the scenes with rangers, feed giraffes, elephants and many more or feel the breath of mighty big cats when they come impressively close to you from the barred expedition vehicle during feeding.

In the Adventure Safari, the park's extensive leisure area, there is fun and entertainment for all ages with over 100 attractions, rides and shows. Whether in classic rides or in fast-paced boats, giant monster trucks and even in a submarine - you will experience pure adrenaline here. The special highlight is the rollercoaster world novelty Gozimba! In the world's first interactive roller coaster, which was designed and built as a prototype especially for the Serengeti Park, absolute thrills are guaranteed!

And the little adventurers are also catered for: there are lots of children's rides, playgrounds and trampolines. The Jurassic Safari, Ice Age Safari, Extinct Safari and the new Ozeania exhibition with animals from the underwater world invite you to marvel. In the indoor safari, a play hall covering over 1000 square meters, little adventurers can let off steam whatever the weather.
You want to experience all this and one day on safari is not enough for you? No problem! Extend your adventure and spend the night surrounded by wild animals. The Serengeti Park Resort offers around 1600 beds in ten different lodge facilities. In original African Masai Mara huts, you can enjoy a direct view of giraffes and antelopes from your terrace and spend romantic nights in comfortable tented lodges right on the shores of Lake Victoria. The Jambo or safari lodges are particularly family-friendly, while the popular adventure or jungle lodges are centrally located for couples or small families. Pure glamping: the Tongasoa Lodges near the Ivory Valley offer a safari feeling in a tent combined with plenty of comfort.
You can experience pure adventure in the midst of wild animals in the mobile ranger lodges (pick-ups with a cabin) or in the converted buses, the double-decker lodges, and spend the night in the Southern Africa Wildlife Area in the midst of wild animals. For mobile campers, there are inexpensive motorhome pitches on the edge of the Masai Mara.
Holiday like in Africa! Let the calls of wild animals wake you up in the morning!

There will be lots of exciting new features in the 2025 season!
GOZIMBA - THE WORLD'S FIRST AT LIGHTNING HEIGHT
In the world's first interactive rollercoaster, guests experience a pure adrenaline rush when they go on the world's only flying safari!
The unique and innovative highlight of the roller coaster designed especially for the Serengeti Park: each passenger decides for themselves how often and how fast they turn 360 degrees and controls their own rollovers with the wings attached to each seat. The more than 400-metre-long flight with a height of up to 25 meters and a speed of 40 km/h is ideal for young and old alike.
Every adventurer will find their own limit here.

Many NEW AND RARE ANIMAL SPECIES
Kordofan giraffes
The rarest giraffe species in the world - new to the Serengeti Safari! The Kordofan giraffe is a giraffe subspecies from the arid regions of north central Africa, Sudan and Chad. This subspecies is considered to be threatened with extinction. The global population is estimated at around 1400 animals. It is also rarely seen in zoos. With the Kordofan giraffes, all three existing giraffe species are now living with us - that is unique in Europe!

Takine
Very rarely seen in European zoos: Although takins are already an endangered species, they are only kept in a few zoos so far. Yet they are particularly fascinating: the mountain ungulates combine characteristics of different species. Its horns and mouth resemble those of a wildebeest, its tail is short like a wild ox, it has four teats like a cow and the stature of a musk ox. Nevertheless, it belongs to the goat family.

Golden-headed lion tamarins
Discover a new primate species in the jungle safari with the golden-headed lion tamarins. The highly endangered lion tamarins are the largest representatives of the marmosets. They come from the rainforests of Brazil, which are constantly being destroyed by deforestation.

Marmots
The Jungle Safari is now also home to the sociable marmots. Alpine marmots are a native species from the European mountains. They feed exclusively on plant-based food. Watching the busy rodents, which belong to the ground squirrel family,
digging their burrows is a real treat!

NEW ATTRACTIONS AT THE LEISURE PARK
Submarine safari
The exciting underwater adventure for the whole family. This is unique in a German theme park!

Ozeania
White shark, orca, dolphin or manta ray - the adventure safari
now also features a fascinating underwater world with life-size exhibits of some of the marine giants.
