North Sea Sailing School
As a member school of the VDS, we offer comprehensive sailing training and experience at our location on the Hooksmeer, about 20 km north of Wilhelmshaven.
Whether you are a beginner or already have sailing experience, our courses cover everything from the basics to official certificates such as the SBF-See and SBF Binnen S/M.
Our fleet includes various boats such as the Schwertzugvogel, Kielzugvogel and Hai 590, which make it possible to acquire a wide range of sailing skills. A particular advantage is the possibility of sailing with both keel dinghies and daggerboards.
Our motto "Sailing without end" means that you can continuously deepen your skills by practicing and learning with our boats free of charge.
Hooksiel is the ideal starting point for sailing trips to the North Sea and the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a unique seascape.
Our practice-oriented courses make it possible to sail independently from the third lesson onwards. We also offer short trips on the North Sea.
For those who do not wish to take exams, we offer practice-oriented sailing training without a formal exam. A personal logbook can help you to document your sailing experience and provide evidence if required.

From the roundabout in Hooksiel, follow Bäderstraße in the direction of the outer harbour for approx: 2.5 km. Turn right into the street "An der Jaderennbahn" and park behind the restaurant "Die Muschel". The jetty of the Nordsee sailing school is already in sight.
