Dry, but by no means boring: the 3.5-kilometre nature trail explores habitats on sand, in particular inland dunes, pine forests, heathland and flower-rich dry sandy grasslands and rough pastures, where countless butterflies can be found in summer - including many species that are rarely seen elsewhere. 13 stations provide interesting facts about the flora and fauna of sandy habitats in a playful and vivid way. The nature trail starts at the parking lot on the Mühlengraben road in Altenlingen-Wachendorf.
