With a lot of passion and commitment, a group of amateurs bring children's plays and musical theater to the open-air stage in Esterfelder Forst year after year. Around 50,000 spectators attend each season - making the Emsländische Freilichtbühne Meppen one of the most visited open-air theaters in northern Germany.
Every year, the Emsländische Freilichtbühne e. V. secures the support of professional directors and other theater professionals for the elaborate productions.
