With a total of eleven information boards and five experience points, nature can be experienced in a very special way here. The almost seven-kilometre-long quality hiking trail 'Kapellenmoor' through the lowland area of the Kapellenmoorgraben invites you on a relaxing and educational tour through the world of animals and plants. If the tour does leave you feeling exhausted, it can easily be shortened halfway through. There are also numerous resting places and benches along the way and, with a bit of luck, the "inhabitants" of the wet and diverse biotope can be observed through binoculars. In addition, a spacious shelter offers space for school classes, which then becomes a "green classroom" with its information boards.
The area of the Kapellenmoorgraben stretches over a length of 2.5 kilometers and covers around 50 hectares. In the past, the ditch was used to drain the boggy ground, but today the landscape around the ditch is an important habitat for endangered animals and plants. And nature enthusiasts get a good overview of a wide variety of green spaces, bodies of water and animal species in a small area.
The cycle path is integrated into the Hümmling Nature Park junction system.
