The National Park House is located in the former luggage shed of the island railroad and is situated on a mound in front of the dyke in order to withstand a storm surge. It is the starting point for the "Tidal Path", which leads halfway around the smallest East Frisian island. In the house  the exhibition is dedicated to the effects of the tides,  coastal protection on the island and the fascinating inhabitants of the Wadden Sea. Dioramas and aquariums as well as special exhibitions on the upper floor invite visitors to discover new things. Guided tours through the island village and into the mudflats, various discovery tours to birds, the salt marsh and at night, as well as small workshops especially for young  island guests provide plenty of variety.
