Agricultural Museum in Rhede (Ems)

How do you milk a cow, bring in the hay and thresh grain - without the help of modern machinery? In a historic farmhouse, the Agricultural Museum brings the work of farmers in earlier times to life. On more than 1,000 square meters of exhibition space, visitors can discover tools and machines that were used in agriculture in and around Rhede in the period from around 1850 to 1950. Members of the local history association collected the equipment, keep it in good condition and explain its function to visitors. For groups, by the way, there are also humorous events, at the end of which the Rhede museum certificate is awarded. There is a creative corner and playful guided tours for children.

The agricultural museum is open from April to October.

Note: It is also possible to tie the knot at this location. Further information can be obtained from the relevant town/municipality.
