In this lovingly designed animal and nature park between Hamburg and Bremen, you can experience nature with all your senses. The paths are accessible and thus easily navigable with walking aids and wheelchairs. These can be borrowed free of charge via advance registration can be borrowed free of charge. Endangered wild and farm animals
LandPark Lauenbrück is home to 200 wild and farm animals in spacious enclosures and large barns. Many of these breeds are threatened with extinction, such as the woolly pigs, aurochs, and Zwartbless sheep. It is very important to us to ensure the survival of these endangered species and to work toward their conservation. You can also get up close and personal with some of the animals—whether petting the goats and donkeys or visiting the fallow deer enclosure.
Play areas for all ages—and even for dogs
As you walk through the zoo, there are plenty of opportunities to play along the way. The play areas—such as the low ropes course, the swing forest, the knight’s castle, and the giant dune—blend beautifully into the forest and meadow landscape. Here, people of all ages can climb to their heart’s content, swing together or alone, or take a ride on the zip line. Dogs are also very welcome at LandPark Lauenbrück. There’s a special dog play forest.
A park landscape for relaxation
The lovingly landscaped flower beds, ponds, and naturally growing areas are also a feast for the eyes. Whether it’s a raised garden bed or a barefoot trail, each landscape offers its own sensory experiences. Our visitors can discover wonderfully fragrant herbs in many places or even pick berries straight from the bush—snacking is expressly allowed here. Whether you’re exploring on your own or under expert guidance from nature education specialists. The Landpark team plans the excursion for young and old individually, based on group size, age, and interests. The website features materials such as puzzles, coloring pages, games, etc., for families to download and print at home. These can be used during your visit to the park.

If you would like a guided tour for your group or wish to participate in one of our group programs, please contact us in advance.
If the ticket booth at the entrance is unstaffed, just head inside—a zookeeper will approach you in the park and ask for admission.
Restaurant hours:
Starting at Easter and throughout the summer, our café-bistro is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In the fall and winter, our café-bistro is open only on Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and daily for registered groups. Depending on the weather, the café-bistro is also open on Saturdays.

Since August 2020, LandPark Lauenbrück has been awarded the state-wide “Travel for All” certification. LandPark is committed to supporting people with disabilities, those with limited mobility, and older adults.
On behalf of the Scharnow Foundation “Tier hilft Mensch” (Animals Help People), the LandPark pursues a total of five charitable goals. One of its statutory objectives is the barrier-free design of the park’s grounds and facilities, so that people with disabilities can also enjoy them.
Through integration and inclusion, the Animal, Culture, and LandPark promotes a carefree coexistence of all visitors amidst the park’s flora and fauna. Special guided tours are offered for people with disabilities, and as a special service, wheelchairs and walkers can be provided on-site free of charge—upon prior reservation. - Der LandPark Lauenbrück liegt im Landkreis Rotenburg (Wümme), direkt an der B75 zwischen Scheeßel und Tostedt.
Mit dem PKW:
Der LandPark ist von Hamburg (Ausfahrt Hollenstedt) und Bremen (Ausfahrt Elsdorf) gut über die A1 und die B 75 erreichbar. Vor Ort gibt es genügend Parkplätze und Behindertenparkplätze direkt am Eingang.
Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln:
An der Bahnstation Lauenbrück halten stündlich Züge aus Bremen und Hamburg. Die Zugfahrt von den jeweiligen Hauptbahnhöfen dauert etwa 40 Minuten. Vom Bhf Lauenbrück ist der Landpark zu Fuß dann innerhalb von 20 bis 30 Minuten zu erreichen. Montag bis Freitag steuert zudem mehrmals täglich der "Bürgerbus Fintel" den LandPark vom Bahnhof aus an.
Mit dem Rad:
Wir liegen direkt am 250 km langen Wümme-Radweg, der die Lüneburger Heide mit Bremen-Vegesack verbindet und u.a. durch Lauebbrück, Scheeßel und Rotenburg (Wümme) führt.
Zu Fuß:
Der NORDPFAD Wümme- und Vareler Heide führt vom Heimatmuseum Scheeßel direkt zu uns. Ihr könnt eure Wanderung sogar bei uns starten und anschließend den Park und unser Bistro besuchen. Der zweite Startpunkt und die Infotafel befinden sich direkt auf unserem Parkplatz. Social Media

- Seit 2005 ist der LandPark Lauenbrück als gemeinnützig anerkannt. Dies bedeutet, dass nach unserer Satzung die Tätigkeit des LandParks der Allgemeinheit zu Gute kommt. Der Geschäftszweck ist nicht erwerbswirtschaftlich und die Gesellschafter entnehmen keine Gewinne. Denn von den Einnahmen werden die immensen Kosten für die Unterhaltung, der Instandhaltung und Erweiterung der Parkanlagen, seiner Tiere und Einrichtungen und nicht zuletzt der Personalkosten bestritten.
Im Auftrag der Scharnow-Stiftung "Tier hilft Mensch" verwirklicht der LandPark fünf gemeinnützige Ziele :
* Tier- und Artenschutz alter, vom Aussterben bedrohten Nutztierrassen.
* Naturkundliche Bildung indem Besuchern – insbesondere Schulklassen – naturkundliche, ökologische und biologische Zusammenhänge erlebnisorientiert nähergebracht werden, dafür beschäftigt der LandPark einen Naturerlebnispädagogen.
* Barrierfreie Gestaltung der Anlagen und Einrichtungen des Parks, um diese auch für Menschen mit Behinderungen erlebbar zu machen. Durch Integration und Inklusion wollen wir ein unbekümmertes Miteinander aller Besucher fördern.
* Förderung von Kunst und Kultur indem kulturelle Veranstaltungen durchgeführt werden, wobei Menschen mit Behinderung, Nachwuchs und Talenten eine Plattform geboten wird und damit eine besondere Förderung zugute kommen soll. Generell ist der LandPark wie jede andere tiergärtnerische Einrichtung ein Stück Kulturgut der Region und damit an sich erhaltenswert und förderungswürdig.
*Ernährung, Bewegung & Gesundheit: Über allen diesen gemeinnützigen Aspekten steht das Motto „Tier hilft Mensch“, denn der Kontakt zum Tier sollen Entspannung und Entschleunigung von der Hektik des Alltaglebens bewirken und das Zusammenspiel von Tier, Mensch und Landschaft auch eine therapeutischen Wirkung ausüben und zum Wohlbefinden unserer Besucher beitragen.
