Swimming outdoors—the best part of summer!

Welcome to Northern Germany’s largest outdoor pool with natural water treatment.

The Naturbad has a total water surface area of 3,500 m². A wooden walkway separates the swimmers’ and non-swimmers’ pools. For the little ones, there’s a separate pool shaped like a whale!

A current channel in the non-swimmer pool, the wide slide, and our bubble loungers ensure fun and variety. An artificial rock formation about 3 m high invites you to jump into the cool water.

The entire facility also promises plenty of fun during the summer months: beach chairs, relaxation lawns, beach volleyball, and a streetball court invite you to unwind and enjoy sports activities. Refreshments are available at the kiosk.

Incidentally, the outdoor pool was certified as a “KinderFerienLand” facility in 2018, an award from Reiseland Niedersachsen for particularly family-friendly hosts and recreational facilities.

The outdoor pool is open in the summer from mid-May through early September. The exact hours of operation can be found on the Naturbad website. Hours are subject to change due to weather conditions.

Children up to age 3 are admitted free of charge.

Juleica cardholders under the age of 18 and active firefighters—including members of the children’s and youth fire departments of the Zeven joint municipality—with valid identification or as listed on a roster of active members issued by the local mayor are also admitted free of charge.

Information on reduced prices: The following groups of people receive a discount and only pay the children's rate: Pupils, students, those doing Federal Voluntary Service (BFD), a Voluntary Social or Ecological Year (FSJ and FÖJ), volunteer card holders and Juleica holders, recipients of assistance under Social Code II and XII and AsylblG (with proof) Severely disabled and physically handicapped persons with a 70% reduction in earning capacity according to the official ID (accompanying persons of severely disabled persons receive free admission if a note is entered in the ID).

Die Stadt Zeven liegt in der Mitte des Landkreises Rotenburg (Wümme). Aus Bremen und Hamburg kommend, erreichen Sie die Stadt Zeven direkt über die A 1. Die B 71 verbindet auch die Stadt Bremervörde und die Kreisstadt Rotenburg (Wümme) mit Zeven

More information

Verbinden Sie im Sommer einen Besuch des Freibades mit einer Wanderung oder eine Wanderung mit einem Sprung ins kühle Becken. Das Naturbad liegt direkt am NORDPFAD Zevener Geest. Dieser 23 km lange Rundwanderweg beginnt am Zevener Busbahnhof (Startpunkt 1) und/oder im Freizeitgebiet Großes Holz (Startpunkt 2).

Für die kalte Jahreszeit gibt es für Wasserratten eine Alternative: Das ebenfalls in Zeven liegende Familienbad Aquafit mit Badeerlebnis-, Sauna- und Ruhbereich.
