In the district of Helmstedt, the 6,500 square meter Wind Energy Adventure Land invites young and old to learn lots of interesting facts about wind energy, nature and species conservation and climate change free of charge and around the clock. Together with mascot Willi Windrad, visitors can convert their energy into music, have their photo taken as a service technician or try to blow as hard as a hurricane. The dimensions of modern wind turbines and what they can achieve become visible here. The stations, which are divided into different age groups, can be explored independently or as part of a rally. A near-natural classroom in a small labyrinth offers visitor groups a place for discussion. There are also plenty of benches for picnics or resting. School classes or other larger groups who do not want to explore the adventure land on their own can book a free guided tour with the Landwind Group.
