With the opening of the new campus in the listed Halls I and II, the building of what was once the town's largest employer is being transformed into a talent factory for the region's future specialists. The transformation of the former railroad repair works has demonstrated to the city of Lingen how former industrial areas can be used successfully and sensibly.
The house-within-a-house concept not only enables short distances, but also - under one roof - constant contact and exchange. At the same time, an unparalleled overall impression of the former architecture and its dimensions is preserved.

Studying in Lingen
The Faculty of Management, Culture and Technology (MKT) at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in Lingen offers students all the advantages of a small but fine campus: interdisciplinary learning, short distances to lecturers and individual support in a family atmosphere are the hallmarks of the MKT faculty. Another major strength of the Lingen campus is the close cooperation with regional companies and associations.
The new campus was built opposite the Lingen train station after several years of restoration and construction: a house-within-a-house concept was created in Halls I and II of the former railroad repair works. Since the winter semester of 2012, students of the Faculty of Management, Culture and Technology have been studying under one roof in ten state-of-the-art buildings.
Students have 19 seminar rooms and two large lecture halls at their disposal. In addition to comfortable learning zones, the new building also includes the comprehensive university library. A dedicated TV and radio studio, modern laboratories and PC pools give students the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice. Since 2011, the Osnabrück Student Union has been offering 89 modern apartments in the immediate vicinity of the campus. Since December 2013, a canteen on the forecourt of Halls I and II has complemented the offer; it invites you to enjoy a quick snack between two lectures or a leisurely lunch break with fellow students.
