Wer fliegt und piept denn da?
The new exhibition at the Wadden Sea Visitor Center on Wilhelmshaven’s Südstrand has a lot to offer, such as the unique sperm whale skeleton, the lifelike replica of the salt marshes, and a fantastic view of the Jadebusen from the rooftop terrace.
On the third floor of the visitor center, everything revolves around the migratory birds of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. Equipped with flashlights, visitors explore the fascinating world of birds and find answers to questions such as: How do migratory birds navigate during their nighttime flights? And how do they sleep during their long migration? What do they do when their food is only accessible at night? These and many other exciting questions are answered during an evening stroll through the exhibition.
