The wanama invites guests and locals to discover sustainable and regional products.
On October 3 and 4, 2025, Wanama will be opening its doors for the fifth time and inviting locals and guests to discover sustainable and regional ideas and products and find out about the region's diverse local initiatives from 10 am to 4 pm.

Visitors can expect a diverse range of handmade products, culinary treats and creative arts and crafts. From sheep-related products and Frisian honey, to natural cosmetics and macramé art, to decorations for the home and garden and handmade incense, visitors can discover treasures and experience sustainability at the same time.

The exhibitors are not only happy to present their products and missions in a practical, regional and inspiring way, but are also happy to share their experiences and tips and show how sustainability can be lived in everyday life.
Those who want to learn more about nature and environmental protection will find interesting insights and hands-on offers from local associations such as WAU, BUND Wilhelmshaven, JadeWale e.V. or Erde und Flut. There will also be exciting insights into the animal world at the stand of the Wangerland National Park House, where it will even be possible to look through a microscope.

At the Neustadtgödens spinning circle, you can also try your hand at felting or spinning. On Friday, a flea market in the small Kursaal invites you to browse. Not only do well-preserved everyday objects, books and decorative items change hands here, but you can also discover many a special one-off item. Anyone interested in setting up their own stall can register for the flea market until 01.10.2025 at veranstaltungen@wangerland.de.

For younger guests, there will be a free showing of the popular picture book cinema in the library on both days at 11.00 am and 3.00 pm. On Friday, an exciting rally through the library from 11.30-15.00 supplements the program, while on Saturday the popular book flea market with a craft corner for children takes place in the small Kursaal.

The courtyard market in the small parking lot also offers the opportunity to purchase fresh products. In addition to the Fairmobil from Aurich, the Friesland-Wilhelmshaven Hunters' Association will also be there with information on nature and animal protection. On Friday, you can also buy regional and, if you bring a container with you, unpackaged products at the Hoflädchen Faß.

Snuffling at the Wanama can be perfectly rounded off with a drink, a delicious
soup, homemade game meatballs or a piece of cake. Whether small or large, the Wangerland Sustainability Market provides exciting inspiration for more sustainability in everyday life.

Admission is free of charge . Further information and all exhibitors can be found HERE.
