Walpurgis in Wolfshagen im Harz
On April 30, 2026, Wolfshagen in the Harz Mountains will once again be transformed into a magical center when the annual Walpurgis Spectacular takes place.
This traditional festival attracts visitors from near and far to celebrate the night of witches and devils together.
In the afternoon, from 3.00 p.m. on the "Wolfshöhe" fairground, there is a colorful hustle and bustle for the whole family with a witches' dance by the "Wolfshäger Minibrut", magic, face painting and lots of free bewitching devil games, and of course home-baked cakes and other treats are available for refreshment.
The ice witch Kassandra awaits the visitors and in the afternoon the prize-giving ceremony for the "Wolfshäger Hexenbrut" painting competition takes place.
In the evening, things get exciting for the big witches and devils.
Visitors to the Wolfshöhe can expect a varied program with groovy music, hellish food and drink and a devilishly good atmosphere.
A special highlight is the performance of the "Wolfshäger Hexenbrut", the most famous witch group in the Harz Mountains. With their eerily beautiful dances and show interludes, they create an unforgettable atmosphere.
At midnight, the magic of witchcraft reaches its climax when the May Queen moves in and drives away the witches and the devil. Spring is welcomed and celebrated.
Entry to the Walpurgis celebration is free.
