During the trip and once we arrive, we’ll stop at various locations to observe the birds in the Wadden Sea and the salt marshes.
This unique tour is led by staff from the Wadden Sea Visitor Center. Even during the trip, we’ll observe the birds in the Wadden Sea and the salt marshes. Once we arrive, an expert will explain the importance of the salt marshes for migratory birds. You’ll also learn about the plants and other animals found there and the strategies they’ve developed to survive in this extreme environment. Of course, there will be a break along the way, giving you the opportunity to enjoy food and drinks you’ve brought along.
The tour is suitable for adults and children ages 8 and up. It starts at the Wadden Sea Visitor Center at Südstrand 110 b.
Dogs are not permitted.
The bike route follows the dike along paved paths.
In Cäciliengroden, the salt marsh nature trail runs along a wooden boardwalk.
The excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
