30 Years of Still Collins – Best of Phil Collins & Genesis
The Genesis Live Special
“A long long way to go” wrote Phil Collins in 1985 on his 3rd solo album. At that time, he surely had no idea that 10 years later, a few crazy music students would set out to faithfully recreate his Genesis songs with a new band. Why would he? Who listens to 2 hours of live music from a band that only covers ONE artist? Today, we know better, as the tribute band scene, in which Still Collins continues to lead, has become an established part of the concert landscape in music clubs, halls, and theaters across Europe.
In 2022, Genesis once again toured Europe together with Phil Collins at the microphone under the motto “The Last Domino”. At the end of the tour, Phil Collins announced his final concert with the band. Thus, a new era begins for STILL COLLINS, the most sought-after Phil Collins and Genesis tribute band in Europe, which now has to carry on alone.
Even in this special Genesis year, Still Collins is touring with the popular special program “The Genesis Live Special”. Following the 2007 tour motto “Turn it on again”, the band plays from “Selling England By The Pound” through the entire 50-year history of Genesis. Both “camps” of Genesis fans are delighted: supporters of the 70s art-rock era are equally satisfied as the fans of the more pop-oriented times with Phil Collins at the microphone. Occasionally, there’s even a little detour into the era of Ray Wilson, with whom Still Collins has already had the pleasure of giving three concerts.
