Lights, songs and the story of St. Martin
On Tuesday, November 11, 2026, the St. Martin's procession will once again take place in Wangerland at 5 p.m. and invites children from the region in particular to an atmospheric shared experience.

The evening begins in the large Kursaal in Horumersiel with a short ecumenical service in which the story of St. Martin is told in a lively way. The focus is on Martin himself, who tears his coat with a sword and gives one half to a freezing beggar.

This is followed by a small lantern procession through Horumersiel, accompanied by traditional songs and the children's colorful, homemade lanterns. The Minsen volunteer fire department will accompany the procession and ensure that everything runs safely.

Catering will be provided in the Kursaal.
Admission begins at 4.40 pm.
