Eine Weihnachtsgeschichte nach Charles Dickens´ - Live-Hörspiel

Charles Dickens’ world-famous Christmas story has been an integral part of the Advent season since its first publication in 1843. In an atmospheric live radio play production, Theater ex libris brings the moving ghost story centered on the hard-hearted moneylender Ebenezer Scrooge to the stage.

With great enthusiasm, the ensemble takes on more than 20 different roles, bringing the story to life. Live music and atmospheric visual projections create a special Christmas atmosphere.

On December 17, 2026, Theater ex libris will perform Charles Dickens’ world-famous Christmas story at the Großer Kursaal in Wangerland. This atmospheric production, brimming with Christmas spirit, promises a special evening of theater that will move, delight, and perfectly set the mood for the Advent season.

London in 1843: For Ebenezer Scrooge, Christmas means nothing but trouble and wasted money. But on Christmas Eve, he is visited by four ghosts who confront him with the past, present, and future—and change his life forever.

For many years, Theater ex libris has been delighting audiences with elaborately staged live radio plays, breathing new acoustic life into well-known literary classics and cult stories. Under the direction of actor, author, and cabaret artist Christoph Tiemann, the theater creates impressive theatrical evenings full of vocal diversity, music, and atmosphere.
