Summer Fair at Halle Gartlage: Ten Days of Rides, Action, and Fireworks

From July 24 to August 2, 2026, Halle Gartlage will once again be transformed into a colorful gathering place for the whole family. Over the course of ten days, the summer fair will delight visitors with popular rides, new attractions, a variety of themed days, and a spectacular fireworks display.

Among the classics at the fairgrounds are the Breakdance and the bumper cars. In addition, visitors can look forward to several new attractions. For the first time, the family roller coaster “Mexiko City” is making a stop in Osnabrück, promising thrills for young and old alike. Also new is the two-story “Spaßallee,” a walking ride featuring numerous obstacles, special effects, and surprises.

For those seeking a thrill, the “Hangover” ride offers high-speed rides at heights of up to 16 meters. With spectacular spins and rapid movements, the attraction is sure to delight adrenaline junkies in particular.

A Colorful Program with Theme and Special Event Days

In addition to the rides, a varied supporting program provides extra entertainment:

• Monday, July 27: VfL Day with discounts at participating businesses for visitors wearing VfL merchandise.
• Tuesday, July 28: Schlager Day with musical accompaniment featuring German schlager hits.
• Wednesday, July 29: Family Day with discounted prices on many rides and at many concession stands.
• Thursday, July 30: Movie Heroes Day featuring XXL Transformers figures from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., as well as other surprises for children.

A special highlight awaits guests on Friday, July 31. A grand fireworks display will light up the sky above the Halle Gartlage, providing a festive conclusion to the first week of the fair.

The XXL Beer Garden Invites You to Relax

If you’d like to take a break between rides, the XXL Beer Garden offers plenty of seating as well as a wide variety of drinks and snack specialties. The food and beverage offerings are complemented by additional stands throughout the fairgrounds.

Hours of Operation

• Monday through Thursday: 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Admission to the summer fair is free.
