We’ll then continue along the Elbe Side Canal to the Elbe River, where we’ll enter one of the troughs and be lifted 38 meters upward. Marvel at the 38-meter-high double-vertical ship lift and experience the passage up close. Of course, explanations about the ship lift and the canal will also be provided. Once at the top, we’ll exit the trough, turn around, re-enter—this time with a sweeping view of the landscape—and be lowered another 38 meters. Afterward, we’ll return to Artlenburg or Lauenburg.
