SOFT LOFT make music that breaks open your shell and embraces you in all your fragility. Their songs oscillate between melancholy and ecstasy like nightly conversations between confidants - close, honest and full of nuances. The Swiss collective around singer and songwriter Jorina Stamm describes its style tongue-in-cheek as "indie-something-something". Behind this is a sound that combines warm psychedelia with indie pop, folky closeness and subtle electronics. SOFT LOFT write songs that seem like intimate confessions and at the same time open up a larger, almost cinematic expanse - vulnerable and yet full of power. In recent years, they have warmed up on renowned stages such as the Reeperbahn Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Maifeld Derby and MS Dockville, demonstrating that their music unfolds a very special intensity live. What started out in a retreat and makeshift studios in Ticino has long since found an international audience. Following their self-released EP In Case You Still Get Lonely (2023) and their debut album The Party and the Mess (2024, produced by Grammy nominee Gianluca Buccellati), SOFT LOFT have proven that they are far more than just an insider tip.
