POPSALON - Lovehead
TODAY IN THE LAGERHALLE: Lovehead
At the beginning of growing up there is rarely just one feeling - rather a chain reaction. A dense sequence of endings and beginnings, in between side plots, cockiness, doubts, new friendships, old patterns. lovehead don't make a big pose out of this confusion, but a lively, direct panorama: songs that taste of sticky club floors, of vodka-cherry juice, of sweat in the air - and of the moment when you realize that you're not alone. Anna, Leni and Mara write indie rock that is fun and still hits the spot. Uncluttered, fidgety, honest - with hooks that stick and an energy that doesn't ask for permission. LOVEHEAD can be charming and confrontational at the same time: they turn the perspective around and show that the genre doesn't have to get stuck in eternally sad narratives. It's about closeness, about friction, about trying things out - and about the power that arises when people push each other. With "fanta lustig", LOVEHEAD capture precisely this coming-of-age feeling: everything is simultaneously too much and just right. The trio deliberately stays close to real life - chaotic days and moments of awakening, small triumphs and big questions. And live, it becomes what their songs are at their core: Community in the noise, a bit of escalation, a lot of heart - and perhaps the spark that triggers the thought somewhere in the audience: "We're forming a band too. Simply because it's fun."
