Two poor creatures—one called Ox, the other Donkey—find a tiny human bundle in their sleeping quarters. This is just too much! Where are the parents? Neither of them knows what to do with little “Matthias,” who is being searched for outside. They take responsibility for him until his real parents return. “Ox and Donkey” tells the Christmas story in a touching, funny, and deeply human way.
