It’s going to be colorful, lively, and musical—and, as always, full of activities—when we open our medieval village in Steinrode, located at Kohlenstraße 101, 34346 Hann. Münden, to spontaneous visitors.

On these open Sundays, you can simply drop by without registering; there will be information about our association’s work (guided tour around 1 p.m.), a snack bar with grilled food, coffee, and cake, and games ranging from treasure hunts to sensory boxes, from mouse races to Viking chess.

Admission for people 18 and older is 4 euros; children and teens are free. The program (subject to change): 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Writing with quill and ink, game rentals, DIY craft station, starting at 12 p.m. hands-on clay building workshop with the Friends of Münden’s Old Town, and starting at 3 p.m. harp music with Bettina Kallausch and students (included in admission). Until 3 p.m.: watch blacksmithing (free) or try your hand at it (5 euros).

11:30 a.m., Workshop 1: Herb tour, followed by mixing herbal salts (5 euros). 1:30 p.m., Workshop 2: Fabric printing (5 euros).

Please note that bringing in your own food and drinks is not permitted on our open Sundays. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash.
