Nicht alles was glänzt ist Silber: Entdeckungstour vom Hüggel auf den Silberberg

A highlight in the area around the Hüggel near Hasbergen is the Silbersee: until the 1970s, people bathed in the shiny silver waters. Today we walk around the mostly dry area with its old mining relics and special flora and fauna. TERRA.vita also offers special guided tours to visit the tunnel at the bottom of the former lake. From the southern Hüggel, it is not far via the "Erzsteig" to the Silberberg, which was formed 100 million years ago after a geological event as a clod slipped off the Hüggel. Due to the special geology and soil conditions, various orchid species can be discovered here from April to July, as well as other special plants that are specially adapted to the heavy metal soil in some places. The tour ends back at Gasthof Jägerberg.

Notes: For adults who are interested in natural history. Sturdy shoes, clothing suitable for the weather and rucksack provisions for a break.
