From 19 January 2025, the nbz Alfsee is launching a new program to accompany the exhibition: every third Sunday of the month - with one exception in April - the center invites families to take part in varied and exciting activities from 2 to 5 pm. The Family Sundays offer a combination of interactive guided tours through the exhibition and creative hands-on activities that are fun for both children and adults.
Overview of the program until April:
January 19: Winter birds at Lake Alfsee
Guided tour through the exhibition with a focus on winter birds and their habitats. Creative activities include designing mobiles from feathers and trying out feathers as writing utensils. An excursion into nature also takes place at 9 am.
February 16: Carnival magic at Alfsee
Fabulous guided tour through the exhibition with stories about animals and legendary figures. Afterwards, imaginative carnival masks will be made.
March 16: King of the skies - the sea eagle and its habitat
Dive into the fascinating world of the sea eagle, one of the most majestic inhabitants of Lake Alfsee! Find out why the water habitat is so important for this impressive bird of prey and how Lake Alfsee has contributed to its return through targeted nature conservation. We'll make our own eagle feathers during the creative activity.
April 27: Migratory birds and spring activities
Guided tour about the return of migratory birds to Lake Alfsee. In addition to a plant exchange, a herb corner will be set up and there will be a medicinal herb workshop
