The Freeden lies within the TERRA.vita Nature and Geopark. Spring is eagerly awaited every year, as this is when the Freeden blooms. Due to the limestone slopes of the Teutoburg Forest, larkspur and other early bloomers are in full bloom. The Freeden is also worth a hike at other times of the year.
