Mermaid-Schwimmen im Wellenbad

In collaboration with Anke Jellinghaus, the Wellenbad am Meer offers mermaid swimming lessons.

The one-hour class (starting at 3:15 p.m. each day) is suitable for boys and girls ages seven and up who have earned their Bronze Swimmer’s Certificate and includes an introduction to the art of swimming with a so-called monofin.

The movements in mermaid swimming are comparable to the butterfly or dolphin stroke.

Participants have the opportunity to try on mermaid costumes and become familiar with the monofin as well as with movements in the water.
In addition to the fun, the health benefits are not overlooked.

The combination of large, circular movements extending out from the pool is good for the back and builds up the abdominal and core muscles.
