Christmas atmosphere of candlelight and music
A festive interplay of light, water and music awaits guests on December 12, 2025 at the traditional Lichterschwimmen in the wave pool by the sea in Bad Zwischenahn. From 5 pm to 10 pm, hundreds of candles, lanterns and light installations will transform the wave pool and the outdoor brine pool into a sparkling sea of lights.
The first date of the Lichterschwimmen is all about Advent. Decorated for Christmas and adorned with countless lights, visitors can float in the water and soak up the special atmosphere in the pool.
The outdoor brine pool dressed in lights
The 32-degree outdoor brine pool offers relaxation and North Sea-quality water and is transformed into a Christmas landscape for the light swim.
In combination with the light of the candles, this creates a unique wellness experience in the open air. Thanks to its location directly on the Zwischenahner Meer, guests can enjoy the view of nature while alternating between relaxation and light exercise.

The Lichterschwimmen takes place monthly from December to February, always at the regular admission price. The next dates are January 16 and February 20, 2026.
