The former miner's house in Forststraße opens its doors.


On "International Museum Day", May 17, the Rammelsberg World Heritage Site will open the doors of the miner's house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to provide an insight into the life and living conditions of miner Hans Blut.

The former Rammelsberg miner was born in 1924 and spent his childhood and youth in the house in Forststraße, together with nine other family members.

Visits to the miner's house are free of charge.

Admission to the museum at the Rammelsberg World Heritage Site is also free of charge. Guided tours of the Roeder gallery, the ore processing plant or a ride on the mine train and inclined elevator are subject to a charge.
