Track sport elite fights for the day's victory!

For the 59th time, the international track sport elite will be guests on the fastest grass track in the world in Rastede on August 9 and 10, 2025 to present top-class sport to the numerous track sport fans.

Rastede is located in the district of Ammerland in the north-west of Lower Saxony, 12 kilometers north of Oldenburg and around 25 kilometers from the North Sea. Rastede is located in the ADAC Weser-Ems region.

The many hard-working helpers of the Rastede Automobile Club are in action for five days to prepare the race track. As this is a non-permanent racetrack, 1200 meters of safety barriers have to be installed, which is unique in Germany!

The international grass track race in Rasteder Schlosspark promises to be another treat for track sport fans. Thrilling races, intrepid racers and talking shop in the paddock will once again make this year's event a top event.

The Rasteder Automobilclub (RAC) in the ADAC expects around 5000 spectators on both race days. Top drivers from England, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany will offer top-class track racing in exciting wheel-to-wheel duels to secure a place on the podium.

Visitors can look forward to a round of the European Veterans Long Track Series (EVLS) on Saturday at 1.30 pm. There will be two classes: 2-valve (minimum age 50 years) and 4-valve (minimum age 40 years). Furthermore, riders from the international and national classes as well as the enduro riders will use the day for free training. In the evening there will be a riders' get-together in the marquee, some riders have already confirmed their attendance and will be available in the marquee to answer questions of all kinds from spokesman Lars Klimek.

On Sunday, free practice will begin at 9 a.m., followed by compulsory practice at 10.45 a.m. The official welcome and presentation of the drivers by Mayor Lars Krause, the speaker duo Lars Klimek and Egon Müller and RAC Chairman Kay Kudinow will take place at 1 pm.

From 1.30 p.m., four classes will compete for victory (international license, national license, sidecar class, enduro class). The performance of the RAC club teams Mitch Godden / Paul Smith and Nicole Standke / Resi Hölper will be followed with excitement.

In the national license class Solo, the performance of Ammerland RAC rider Lando Michaelis will be eagerly awaited. After the great success in 2023, the enduro riders will also take part in this competition again. Mostly regional riders will be represented here, including some RAC members.

This top event will be commented on by the commentary duo Lars Klimek and Egon Müller. The paddock will be accessible to spectators at all times, so that direct contact with the drivers is possible.

A highlight of the race day will once again be the attack on the grass track world record. This has been held since 2004 (!) by Englishman Kelvin Tatum with an average speed of 143.255 km/h.
Carriage fans will also get their money's worth again this year. A total of ten teams will try to finish on the podium on the fast, demanding track.

The current status of driver commitments will be available shortly at www.rasteder-ac.org.

The Rasteder AC wishes all visitors an exciting race weekend.
