Tea Ceremonies Along the East Atlantic Route

The East Atlantic flyway stretches from the Arctic Circle to West Africa or even South Africa. In many countries along this route, very special teas are served. In some African wintering grounds of our waterbirds, you’ll find sweet peppermint tea; in Siberia, the breeding grounds of the Brent goose, the Eurasian curlew, and others, black tea from a samovar; and in Scandinavia, glögg tea. Moreover, migratory birds and tea have one thing in common: both should be allowed to steep in peace.

We invite you to enjoy a variety of teas yourself during this richly illustrated lecture on the migration routes of our visiting birds, the coastal tern, and the diversity of tea enjoyment in selected countries.
The teas and pastries come primarily from organic farms in the region. Ingredients from more distant regions are sourced through fair trade.
