HILDE (Geschichten und Musik im Foyer)

Hildegard Knef was an actress, singer, author—and so much more than that! She was a figure onto whom people projected their ideas, a political figure, a scandal-ridden protagonist, and a pioneer of modern feminism.
With HILDE, artist Olga Seehafer presents a personal interpretation of Knef’s much-cited body of work, without attempting to imitate her or endlessly repeating her most famous songs.
Olga Seehafer’s artistic team dares to break with expectations—it explores, experiments with, and reimagines Knef’s life’s work. With respect and humility, HILDE erects an artistic monument. The musical theater performance portrays the artist from a perspective all its own. The project celebrated Hildegard Knef’s 100th birthday in December 2025.
