HammeNacht 2026
Once a year, the peat barge skippers between Gnarrenburg and Osterholz-Scharmbeck meet up late at night to experience the special night-time atmosphere over the moor from the peat barge. This has become something of a tradition and is considered by many to be the highlight of the peat barge season. Excursion-loving guests set off on a trip on the Hamme at various landing stages in the Teufelsmoor, equipped with lights. At the landing stages, music and good food invite you to enjoy a meal together. Each of the participating restaurants sets a different musical and culinary accent. There is also music on board - the trip through the night is accompanied by accordion or guitar sounds.
