Our miller will guide you through the five stories of Germany’s tallest intact historic windmill, all the way up to the gallery at a dizzying height. Discover numerous historical artifacts in our mill museum and listen to the fascinating and curious stories about the hard lives of millers.
This “old lady” is about 160 years old. She stands nearly 30 meters tall, and her five-story base was built from over 200,000 bricks. This makes the Stiftsmühle a landmark of the city of Aurich visible from afar.
Guided tours for groups are available at any time by appointment.
Opening hours: Mid-April through the end of October
The Open-Air Café at the Stiftsmühle invites all guests to enjoy a cozy break with a variety of delicacies after a tour of the mill or even during a bike ride.
