Every year on the second Sunday in September, the small heathland village of Steinbeck—a district of Bispingen—shows off its best side at the Harvest Festival. You can look forward to an extensive program of shows and stage performances, as well as our culinary mile through the village.

The highlight of the festival, aside from the parade featuring harvest and flower floats through the village, is the crowning of the German Harvest Queen on the stage on Druhwaldstraße, an event attended by many thousands of visitors each year.

Afterward, all the floats can be admired at the festival grounds. Everyone then gathers for a cozy evening with the Bispingen Fire Department Band.

2026 Festival Program

Once again, you can look forward to many beautiful market stalls, elaborately decorated floats in a unique parade, and the coronation of the new German Harvest Queen

• Starting at 4:00 p.m.: Children’s Harvest Festival with lots of great games, followed by a kids’ disco (free admission!)
• Starting at 7:00 p.m.: Harvest Party with DJ JiB (Free admission!)

• 10:00 a.m.: Low German church service at the Grevenhof
  (in the festival hall in case of bad weather)
• Starting at 12:00 p.m.: Open-air concerts, arts and crafts market, queens’ gathering
• 1:00 p.m. Procession to retrieve the harvest crown at the village square; coronation of the new German Harvest Queen; entertainment program
• Approx. 2:30 p.m. Grand parade through the village
• Starting at 5:00 p.m.: Harvest celebration with the Bispingen Fire Department Marching Band (free admission!)
