Fifty years of contemporary history, three husbands, encounters with Monroe and Dietrich, numerous famous hits, and a life full of highs and lows: With Hildegard Knef, a global star returns to the stage that means the world. Based on her autobiography The Gift Horse, and partly adapted by herself, a musical was created that premiered in 2003 at the Landesbühne Nord in Wilhelmshaven, and is now coming to the stage in Hameln by the Theater für Niedersachsen.
On December 28, 2025, Knef would have turned 100 years old. The perfect opportunity for a tribute to an exceptional artist, for whom not only red roses fell, but who could justifiably always claim the title of "Diva."
