Carl Carlton & Melanie Wiegmann
Following their successful joint debut, CARL CARLTON & MELANIE WIEGMANN are back with more: Their second joint album, “Miles Of Time,” was released on January 23, 2026—and will be accompanied by a tour of the same name. Advance ticket sales begin today, February 6, 2026, at 12 p.m. at www.eventim.de and on other platforms.
Their first album, “Glory Of Love” (2023), was already a huge hit and immediately earned a spot in the Top 50 of the German album charts. With “Miles Of Time,” CARLTON and WIEGMANN deepen their musical connection and present a work full of intensity, depth, and stylistic diversity. Spanning rhythm & blues, Americana, blues, and soul, they interpret forgotten musical gems just as impressively as their own compositions.
“Here, two voices and one soul have sought and found each other. And with the album ‘Miles Of Time,’ they’ve created something truly unique and new.”— Musix. At the heart of the album lies this special artistic symbiosis: CARL CARLTON’s virtuosic yet sensitive guitar playing and his distinctive, raw voice blend with MELANIE WIEGMANN’s soulful, authentic vocals to create an intensity that is just as compelling on record as it is on stage.
CARL CARLTON is an internationally renowned guitarist, songwriter, and producer. His musical journey took him from Friesland through the Netherlands, England, and the U.S., leading to collaborations with greats such as Herman Brood, Manfred Mann, Eric Burdon, Joe Cocker, and Willy DeVille. German rock icons such as Udo Lindenberg, Peter Maffay, and Marius Müller-Westernhagen have also worked with him for decades. He shared a close friendship with Robert Palmer, with whom he wrote and produced the Grammy-nominated album “Drive”—which also marked the start of his solo career. His connection to Levon Helm (The Band) was also formative. He gained international acclaim both as a solo artist and with CARL CARLTON & The Songdogs. Stylistically influenced by Americana and blues, he was awarded the Blues-Louis in 2024.
MELANIE WIEGMANN is a versatile singer, pianist, and actress with a distinctive mezzo-soprano voice. She is equally at home across genres—including classical, jazz, musicals, and chanson—and works in recording studios, on theater stages, and in front of the camera. She gained fame through her six-year role in the telenovela “Sturm der Liebe.” On stage, she has appeared in productions such as “Mamma Mia!” and “Cabaret,” as well as in leading and character roles as a member of the ensemble at the Nuremberg State Theater. She also works as a voice actress, though her greatest passion is singing.
CARL CARLTON & MELANIE WIEGMANN by a top-notch band: Brian Mitchell on keyboards, accordion, and vocals (Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, B.B.
