Ausstellung der Norddeutschen Realisten im StadtMuseum
The North German Realists show Einbeck from their artistic perspective in their paintings in early summer. Under the name "#Norddeutsche Realisten malen Einbeck. StadtANSICHTen", they will be showing their works in the StadtMuseum.
What other town is lucky enough to become the backdrop for a symposium of professional artists? Last summer, Einbeck's old town was transformed into a lively open-air studio landscape for a week. Easels were suddenly set up where everyday life usually prevails. Ten artists swapped artificial light for real sunlight and made Einbeck the protagonist of an artistic survey that had not been seen like this for decades. They were often approached by passers-by - and the question kept coming up: "When can we see the finished works?"
The Plein-air project was invited and made possible with great organizational effort by Kunsthaus Einbeck, which brought the North German Realists to Einbeck and organized the symposium in close cooperation with local partners and supporters. The fact that the results can now be presented in the StadtMuseum Einbeck is an expression of a lively cooperation in Einbeck's cultural sector - between the StadtMuseum, the Kunsthaus and the StadtpARTie Einbeck festival.
The art group is repeatedly invited to dedicate itself to special plein-air projects, painting in the open air - in contrast to studio painting. In the tradition of the Impressionists, the painters have captured the wind, weather and Einbeck's very own atmosphere directly on canvas. The result is a declaration of love in oil and color: an exclusive exhibition that shows Einbeck as it is - masterful, realistic and full of life.
The exhibition opens at the StadtMuseum on 9 May at 11 a.m. - admission is free. A book will also be published in time for the opening of the exhibition at the Einbecker StadtMuseum, which will show all the works from the symposium. The exhibition can be visited until August 16.
StadtANSICHTen can also be seen during the StadtpARTie Einbeck cultural festival (May 13-17)!
