Adendorfer Serenade: Fantasie, Lyrik, Vituosität

From Mozart’s elegant musical language to the colorful works of the 20th and 21st centuries, a concert evening full of contrasts unfolds: lyrical melodies, virtuosic brilliance, and dance-like energy come together in
a diverse array of compositions for flute and piano. Works by Reinecke, Godard, and Borne combine Romantic expressiveness with operatic passion, while modern pieces open up new sonic worlds and rhythmic impulses.
The result is a musical journey spanning imagination, lightness, and infectious joy in performance. Pianist Alexandra Schmeling has been studying music education with a major in piano at the Lübeck University of Music since 2024 and was awarded
awarded the Lüneburg District Cultural Promotion Prize. Flutist Finja Hähndel is a young student of Vukan Milin at the HMTMH in Hanover and performs in renowned youth orchestras. Both musicians are multiple national prize winners at “Jugend musiziert” and can be heard regularly as soloists and in chamber music performances.
