As the name suggests, this tour is about iron and coal mining in Georgsmarienhütte. The route leads around the steelworks through the Dütetal and the hilly Osnabrück region between Malbergen and Kloster Oesede. Some paths are poorly maintained and some steep ascents are to be expected.
