Go in search of geological and historical traces: the 32-kilometre SteinErlebnisRoute 3 is one of three circular cycle tours around Selsingen. These lead past cultural, archaeological and ecological information stations, all of which take up the theme of "stone" and provide interesting information about the region and its history.
The special features of this route include the educational museum "URLA-Zentrum", the Malstedt watermill and the Anderlinger Bildstein, one of the most important archaeological finds in northern Germany. Between Anderlingen and Haaßel there is a SteinPlanetarium, a true-to-scale representation of our planetary system with a golden sun at its center in Anderlingen.

The starting point for the cycle routes is the "Youth and Bike Meeting Point" at Milleniumwald in Selsingen (B 71 / Im Sick). From there, an access path leads to Haaßel to the Ziehbrunnen, the first of the 14 stations along the route. The second stop is at the URLA Center, an educational museum.
From Ohrel, head to the village of Malstedt, which is located directly on the Bever. The former watermill, which now houses an art workshop, can also be found on the small river. The route continues via Byhusen and through a small wood to the Farven Play and Water Park (free of charge, donation welcome), which was lovingly designed by the Farven 2011 Citizens' Association. It consists of a pond with a sandy beach, a stream and a large lawn. The play equipment there invites children to climb and run around, splash and muddle. A paradise for young and old alike.
About the cobblestone path in Strüh, along the massive findling walls in Winderswohlde and the cemetery in Grafel you reach the highlight of the route, the Anderlinger Bildstein. Did you know that one of the most important archaeological finds in northern Germany was discovered by chance? In 1907, farmer Gerd Brandt took sand and stones from a field to build a road and found the image stone. It depicts figures that until then had only been known from Sweden. The stone marks the south side of a burial chamber. A reconstruction of the tomb and the stone can be viewed in front of the site.
The SteinPlanetarium, a true-to-scale representation of our planetary system with a golden sun at its center, also begins near the image stone. The planetarium stretches along the entire stage between Anderlingen and Haaßel. From there, it is not far to Selsingen. Don't miss out on a stop at one of the inns located right in the town center.

Directions & Parking facilities
The town of Selsingen is located in the north of the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) between the towns of Bremervörde and Zeven.
From Hamburg, take the A1 (exit Sittensen) and drive via Heeslingen to Selsingen.
From Rotenburg (Wümme), follow the B 71 via Zeven to Selsingen.
From Bremen and Hanover, follow the highway signs via the A 27 and A 1 in the direction of Hamburg (exit Bokel). Then take the B 71 through Zeven to Selsingen. Or drive from Bremen city center overland through the towns of Lilienthal, Tarmstedt and Rhade to Selsingen.
From Bremerhaven, take the B 71 and follow it via Beverstedt to Bremervörde. From there, follow the signs to Selsingen (towards Zeven).
From Cuxhaven, take the B 73 and B 495 (Hemmoor and Bremervörde) to Selsingen.
From Hamburg, take the A1 (exit Sittensen) and drive via Heeslingen to Selsingen.

Parking is available in the parking lot of the Selsingen elementary school (Im Sick street) and also in the parking lots of the supermarkets Edeka Böttcher and Aldi.
Aus Richtung Cuxhaven und Bremerhaven fährt die Elbe-Weser-Bahngesellschaft (EVB) nach Bremervörde. Aus Richtung Hamburg nehmen Sie die S-Bahn (S 3) von Hamburg Hbf nach Buxtehude. Dort steigen Sie in die EVB nach Bremervörde um. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Fahrradplätze in den Elbe-Weser-Bahnen begrenzt sind. Nähere Infos zu den Bahnverbindungen erhalten Sie auf www.bahn.de

Der Landkreis Rotenburg (Wümme) verfügt über ein ca. 1.800 km langes und ausgeschildertes Radwegenetz. Sternradfahrer können von einem Ort aus gleich mehrere Routen ansteuern. Für mehrtägige Touren stehen zudem acht Radfernwege zur Verfügung.
